Cheapest flight from Bangkok to Koh Samuri

Postby sony007 » Fri Nov 20, 2009 12:07 pm

Hi there guys & girls. I'm travelling to Thailand and arrive there on the 22nd Dec, We will be spending one night in Bangkok before trying to get to Koh Samuri by plane. My question is are there any cheap flights to do this route? I've found flights for around 15300 THB ( £278) with Bangkok airways for 2 returning on the 28th. I would like to spend at least 4-5 days in Koh Samuri + going to Koh Phangan for the full moon party, as I've never been to either places before but have heard it's an experience.

So if anyone can point me in the right direction for cheaper flights doing this route that would be greatly appreciated ;)

When leaving Koh Samuri we haven't decided where to go next, I've heard PHI PHI island is also a must see place. I went Thailand last year for the first time, stayed in Pattaya. This time around I want a different experience - but I still want to be able to buy some T-shirts :D hopefully I can do this on all the islands I visit, if not my last 3 day will be in Bangkok so will be visiting the markets to buy some t-shirts.

Just stay away from the drugs, no matter how clever and discreet you think you are being. It's not worth the pain that follows.

As for your flights, sorry can't help just wanted to warn you about the Full Moon Party.

@ S.H.A.D.O. thanx for your reply. We don't drink or smoke but I understand what you're saying. I be honest with you, I don't think we'll be spending all night at the moon party, we're into keeping fit and not getting hammered :) So would you say that the moon party is a must see experience or not? coz if it's not all that I might just stay in Koh Samui.

some time ago there was a monopoly by Bangkok Airways, so this was the only airline servicing this route. Not sure if this changed...havent travelled there for quite some time. But if it is still only Bangkok 'Airways servicing the route rest assured that they will continue to rip you off.

Maybe someone can advise whether other airlines are flying there as well?
