Hi everybody,

As I wrote in another post,
I'm living in Sakhon Nakhon province a little town which name is Sawang Daen Din (47110)
Some english and australian people are living in the town;
I know also belgium, italien and french people (as I am, french).

Living with my thai wife who is a farmer, no telephone, no warm water no airco...
But our way of life is the best I ever known;
I retire here since 2 years and a half; I can speak a little bit thai and lao (especially!!) with my neighbours and can also read and write a little bit this beautiful langage.

I have to work in the rice fields;
so I leave u for a moment.

Hi guys

North East (Issan) is a nice area in thailand. people are nice and kind. they always smile..
Anyway, i live in Korat and it really nice place. There are shopping mall like "The mall" also " Tesco". Many foreigners in Korat. So u wont feel lonely.

I'm an Isaaner myself and the number of foreigners here has really dwindled over the last year.

The recession and the red shirts frightened most of the sexpats away [good riddance] and loads of people here have had their pensions hit and now eat/drink at home instead of going to overpriced and samey falang bars/restaurants.

BUT, Peppers Bakery in Ubon Ratchathani is very good if ever you find yourself down that way, as is the Bookhouse & Coffee Shop in Udon Thani.

The Irish Clock is up for sale in Udon if any of you know it [or Steve].
